When to see a gastroenterologist

Don’t delay your visit if you experience:

  • Heartburn or acid reflux after meals
  • Abdominal pain, heaviness, or discomfort
  • Nausea, bitterness, or unpleasant taste in the mouth
  • Bloating, flatulence, or rumbling
  • Constipation, diarrhea, or other changes in bowel habits
  • A feeling of a “lump” in the throat or sour taste in the mouth

We Provide Care For

  • Gastritis and reflux disease

  • Liver, pancreas, and gallbladder disorders

  • Intestinal dysfunctions

  • Abdominal pain, bloating, and other digestive symptoms

  • Food poisoning and toxin exposure

Pediatric gastroenterology

Children’s digestive systems function differently from adults’, which is why they need an experienced pediatric gastroenterologist.
Our specialists know how to accurately diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders in children of all ages.

According to WHO data, up to 80% of children experience digestive issues, and conditions once considered “adult” are now increasingly common among the young.

Symptoms that require attention:

  • Recurrent abdominal pain

  • Colic, bloating, or heartburn

  • Nausea or vomiting

  • Irregular bowel movements

  • Loss of appetite

A child’s body is particularly vulnerable to infections and toxins, so even mild symptoms are a reason to consult a specialist.

Compassion and attention to every patient

We understand that navigating medical care in another country can feel overwhelming. At GMS Clinic Dubai, we make the process as comfortable as possible — explaining every step, helping you adapt to local medical standards, and selecting a nutrition plan designed just for you.

With us, you’ll feel confidence, comfort, and genuine care at every stage of your treatment.

Diagnostics at the clinic

Tests are ordered for a reason, not as a “panel for everything”: chance abnormalities trigger a cascade of repeat tests, anxiety and sometimes unnecessary treatment.

  • Urea breath test for H. pylori: non-invasive, takes about half an hour, suits both diagnosis and the test of cure.
  • Blood and stool tests, including faecal calprotectin and coeliac screening; results are discussed at a free follow-up visit.
  • Abdominal ultrasound and liver elastography with the clinic’s ultrasound doctors.

Gastroscopy and colonoscopy are performed at partner hospitals with our gastroenterologist Elena Kasimtseva present, and you discuss the results with her at your visit to GMS Clinic.

The medical concierge takes care of booking, paperwork and translation, so that your hospital visit goes smoothly and with the level of care you are used to at GMS.
